Is it possible for the business sector and social and academic organizations to work together and contribute positively to the solutions of environmental and social issues?
The response of an international organization such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is "YES", and for that reason, the Initiative has created Action2020, an international platform of Action on issues of sustainability.
The Action 2020 of the WBSCD is an Action Plan on how companies can positively affect environmental and social trends, while responding to global challenges, such as climate change, demographic pressures and skill shortages. With the agreement of the scientific community, Action 2020 proposes to all interested businesses an Agenda for Action on Sustainable Development, by the year 2020 and beyond.
