Invitation to participate in the creation of the Greek Sustainability Code
The QualityNet Foundation, under the Initiative Sustainable Greece 2020, invites, from 1-25 July, all companies interested to be linked to Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility issues, as well as those following the new European Directive on disclosure of non-financial information, to participate in the creation of the Greek Sustainability Code. The first step towards the creation of the Greek Sustainability Code is the revision of the German Sustainability Code, run by one of the main strategic partners of the Initiative Sustainanable Greece 2020, the German Council for Sustainable Development, which is recognized as the leading European best practice in the specific field.
It should be noted that the review process is carried out in parallel in three European Union member States, Germany, France and Greece, with the help of invited participants, such as social partners and businesses.
One of the main objectives of the Initiative Sustainable Greece 2020 is the creation of the Greek Sustainability Code, which is based on the respective Sustainability Code of the German Council for Sustainable Development. The Sustainability Code will be adapted to the needs of the Greek market through the creation of a Task Force. The participants will be representatives from agencies, companies and organizations already involved in the Initiative, with the aim to develop a dialogue that will make decisions about the specific additional criteria reflecting the Greek reality. The ultimate goal is for the Greek Sustainability Code to be linked to the European Sustainability Code.
QualityNet Foundation invites you to:
- contribute to the creation of the Greek Sustainability Code by participating in the revision of the German Sustainability Code that is carried out at the same time in Germany, France and Greece with the help of invited participants, such as social partners and businesses, as well as
- to participate in the public dialogue, which will be developed in order to be adapted to the needs of the Greek market
