"We continue to operate with vision and responsibility, to strengthen our competitiveness and create value in the Greek economy and society"

We operate in an environment characterized by constant challenges and uncertainty, in which the concepts of responsible entrepreneurship and contribution to the economy, society and the environment become more necessary and relevant than ever. We at HERACLIS Group continue to operate with vision and responsibility, to strengthen our competitiveness and create value in the Greek economy and society. A stable compass on our path was, is and will be adherence to the principles of transparency and responsible business, as well as our commitment to sustainable development and a substantial contribution to our country.

Today, global challenges regarding climate change and the lack of natural resources and raw materials have changed the requirements for the operation of modern business, promoting sustainable development as both an absolute obligation and a condition for development. The HERACLIGS Group, consistent in its commitment to create value for customers, partners, employees and local partners, continues to evolve and develop innovative products and solutions, while taking care of the continuous improvement of its performance in relation to the environment, society and governance (ESG).

Indicatively, in 2019 we achieved a reduction of net CO2 emissions by 5.6%, while correspondingly CO2 emissions per ton of cement decreased by 2.5% compared to the previous year. In the context of the circular economy, the Group replaces fossil fuels and mineral raw materials with secondary materials, constantly saving natural resources and constantly improving its environmental footprint. In 2019, the use of alternative fuels increased by 7.3% and reached 29%, contributing to the national goal of reducing landfill waste.

At HERACLIS Group we aim to take a leading role in the field of sustainable construction, as part of our commitment to sustainable innovation that forms the basis for a better future.
