"Our path towards Responsible and Sustainable Development is based on the tripartite "Strategy - Results - Communication""

ATTICA SA HOLDINGS (Attica Group), is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange and operates in the passenger shipping industry through the subsidiary companies BLUE STAR FERRIES (BSF), HELLENIC SEAWAYS (HSW), SUPERFAST FERRIES (SFF) and AFRICA MOROCCO LINKS (AML).

Our Group's vision which is the cornerstone of our operation is determined to strengthen the leadership position and value of Attica Group with profitable expansion into new markets and activities, providing high quality services that exceed market expectations.

In this context, we have integrated the Environment Social Governance (ESG) criteria into the core of our organization and we have defined as our mission the activities of the Group to create added value for shareholders and employees, to always operate for the benefit of partners and local communities and to limit the environmental footprint as much as possible.

Having created a Corporate Governance structure based on transparency, we implement policies, procedures and best practices with which we promote entrepreneurship, always putting the human being as a priority, as a shareholder, employee, customer, supplier and as a member of a local community.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to operate based on the principle of Responsible and Sustainable Development. A principle that for passenger shipping, becomes increasingly complex in terms of challenges, with the most basic being the decarbonization of the sector which is consistent with the gradual need to manage the existing fleet and renew it with new "greener" ships.

The interaction of the legislation of the European Union (ETS, Fuel EU, etc.) with the regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) creates a demanding framework, to which we must adapt very quickly, without at the same time being immediately available the technology that will support the green transition. In the context of the "green" transition of shipping, our Group has completed drawing up a new Environmental Strategy with a horizon of 2030, defining specific actions and targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

For all employees of the Group, our path towards Responsible and Sustainable Development is based on the tripartite "Strategy - Results - Communication" with parallel integration of ESG principles in every new investment project and in our daily operations always keeping in mind the development of the Hellenic economy..

It goes without saying that we are committed to continuing our efforts to operate with a sense of responsibility and to work harmoniously with our Social Partners to ensure the creation of mutual long-term value, a commitment based on our Vision, Mission and Values, but above all in the morale of our employees.

"At Attica Group we have achieved that the ESG criteria are not a goal but integrated principles on which the operation of our Group is based"
For us at Attica Group, Responsibility, Sustainability and the integration of ESG criteria in our operation is based on the threefold Strategy - Communication - Result.

With our vision and mission as a guide, we strategize where we want to reach and how much we want to develop responsible practices through goals and actions. It is important to know the final destination, as in a boat trip. We communicate the strategy to all our employees so that we can all be passengers on this journey. Through the constructive process of the workshops we decide the policies, procedures, quantitative goals and actions through which we will reach the final destination. It is an arduous job that requires a joint effort both in the planning of goals and actions and in their implementation. Everyone's commitment to this joint effort is a key ingredient to success.

So we have to communicate it to everyone. The clear destination with the intermediate goals and the actions required must be known in advance, as in the journey by ship, where before the final destination there are the intermediate ports. The joint effort required can only be made if all involved have a shared commitment, know about the level of their own effort required and have clear roles. Honest communication is important. The transparency of the processes is an important tool for achieving the goals and the final result.

The third point of the triptych we rely on is the final destination of the journey, such as by ship. The goals and actions must be achievable and clear so that we can get results. Measurable results.

Results showing whether the strategy was successful and whether it was properly communicated to all involved. All parties involved rely on the result to evaluate and judge. At Attica Group, the goals and actions for Responsibility and Sustainability have been integrated and are part of the employee performance evaluation. Like the boat trip. When you reach your final destination, then you can evaluate whether the entire trip was worth the effort and cost.

At Attica Group we have achieved that the ESG criteria are not a goal but integrated principles on which the operation of our Group is based.
